Dr. Nanos and her Kind Team have a passion to support their local community thought volunteer work and support for local causes. This is a fundamental piece of our wellness initiative. These are some of our passion projects at Kind.

Community Resource Center Food Bank of Encinitas

The CRC Encinitas provides basic needs for families in crisis, to offering extensive program that facilitate the safety, stability, and self-sufficiency of the low income and episodically homeless households-including domestic violence victims.

The Food and Nutrition center offers participants a dignified shopping experience where they can select their own food staples, along with fresh food. Local grocery stores and community groups donate thousands of food items through our Fresh Rescue Program that the CRC pickups daily.

Carol’s House Community Resource Center

Carols house is a 24-bed emergency shelter for all victims of domestic violence and offers residents a safe home for 45 to 60 days in the emergency shelter while receiving services including, legal advice, case management, counseling, life skills and parenting classes and therapeutic children’s centers.

Door of Faith Orphanage

Our Kind Team loves to spend our volunteer hours helping Door of Faith Orphanage in La Mission, Mexico. Door of Faith Orphanage housing over 100 children from infancy to age 18. Our service work at DOFO includes building roads, developing language skills and teaching literacy, holding infants and playing with the children.

Siloe

Siloe ministries clinic facility provides free medical, dental, mental health care education to needy communities in Baja California. Dr. Nanos and her team has been involved in this project since they broke ground and continues to volunteer medical services to this community.
