RF Microneedling Procedure Technique
Upon arriving at your appointment, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed and then a topical anesthetic cream applied. Numbing takes between 30 – 45 minutes.
Treatment settings will be customized to target your specific concerns.
Typical treatment time will be between 30 - 45 minutes while RF energy and LED light is transmitted through tiny, gold-plated micro-needles.
This will creates micro-injuries in the skin, which then causes a healing response. Collagen and elastin are stimulated and as epithelization occurs, the top layer begins to feel smoother and look brighter.
Post-treatments, it is recommended that patients:
- Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours
- After the first 24 hours, apply and re-apply sunscreen regularly
- Avoid strenuous activities that cause excessive sweating (hot yoga, weight lifting, hot tubs, spin class, running, etc.)
- Avoid using cosmetics on the treatment area for up to 24 hours
What to expect
RF microneedling procedure will be performed in the Kind Health Group facility with the help of a numbing solution to decrease discomfort.
During your appointment, the handpiece will roll over the desired area, repeating the technique until the desired results have been reached.
Patients should expect tiny pinpoint scabs to appear 24 – 72 hours afterward, which will naturally shed when the underlying micro-injury has healed.
